Climate on Tahiti and her islands
The Society Islands ( Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora, Huahine, Raiatea ) and the Tuamotu atolls (Rangiroa, Fakarava, Manihi) have a mild tropical climate, mostly sunny and pleasant. The average annual temperature in the Society Islands is 85 F with little variation through the year. As a result of vegetation and wind factors, high islands ( Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora, Huahine, Raiatea ) are generally a little more humid than atolls (Rangiroa, Fakarava, Manihi), which are more exposed to the cooling influence of the trade winds.The temperature, which is always pleasant, is cooled by the trade winds of the Pacific that blow throught the year. The average ambient temperature is 27 degrees, and the waters of the lagoons are a fairly constant 26 degrees.
